Bath Stools

While some bath stools are used for safety purposes, others and used for convenience and some even for simple decoration. Bath vanity stools are quite popular among women, giving them somewhere to sit comfortably while primping, styling their hair, and applying makeup. However, these are by far not the only stools you’ll find in the bathroom.

Often, you’ll find bath stools with a higher purpose, especially in the homes of the elderly or disabled. Bath tub stools are a great solution to the need for an individual to be stabilized while cleaning, shaving, and performing other daily hygienic activities. These devices allow weakened individuals who may not be comfortable sitting in the tub for fear of slipping and drowning or who may have to transition across from a wheelchair into the bathtub. A bath shower stool gives the same reassurance. In many instances, you’ll find a bath shower stool in the homes of the elderly, where the homeowner is frail and unable to stand up in the shower for long periods of time.

Bath stools are great safety devices and can be implemented in any home to help prevent slipping while in the shower. They are especially helpful for children who may just be learning to shower themselves, as well as for those youngsters who have a hard time standing still while their mother or father attempts to wash their hair. Bath stools for a bathtub come in many shapes, sizes, and materials. You can get plain, plastic seated stools, aluminum stools, or even wood stools. A teak stool for bath tub applications can be a beautiful addition to the shower or bathtub, adding a decorative factor to the safety value. If you are quite the interior decorator, you could also get a matching teak bath stool for your vanity, completing the look of the design.

Other bath stools are simply used to help you literally rest while you are in the restroom. After all, you may spend a good deal of time in this area of the house, and there is no need to wear out your feet while styling your hair, putting on your makeup, brushing your teeth, shaving, or caring for other aspects of your body. However, keep in mind that the best application for a bath stool is as a safety device. Consider putting one in your shower or bathtub and take a load off while reducing the risk of injury at the same time.
